A Coffee & Ice Cream Co.
on Colington Island

Higher Grounds has been family owned and operated since 2017, tucked along Colington Road with a deck that looks out over Blount Bay. We built this place for the people of Colington and all of our wonderful OBX visitors. Grab a hammock, bring the dog, let the kids hit the slide, and stay a while.

Worth the Turn

We're not on the bypass, and honestly, that's the point. Turn onto Colington Road at the Wright Brothers Memorial, follow it about two miles as it winds toward the water, and look for the teal building on your left. Water view waiting.
